Pocket Café privacy policy
Last updated 27 October 2026
This policy covers Pocket Café: Cozy Puzzle on iPhone, Android and Jest. It is made by Nurt Studios (“we”). We collect as little as we can: no name, no email address, no contacts, no location and no advertising ID. The game has no ads and we don't track you across other apps or websites. We never sell your data.
What we collect and why
Your game progress
Your counters, café decorations and settings are saved on your device. In the iPhone and Android apps, your stamp balance and the items you own are also kept on our game server, so purchases can't be lost or faked. That record is linked to a random ID created when you first open the app. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple or Google account.
On Jest, your progress is saved by Jest and covered by Jest's own privacy policy.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple, Google or Jest. We never see your card or payment details. In the apps, we use RevenueCat to confirm purchases: it receives the product you bought, the store's transaction ID and the random ID above. We keep a record of each purchase so we can give you what you bought, restore it later and handle refunds.
Anonymous gameplay statistics
To learn which puzzles are too hard or too easy, the game sends short gameplay events to PostHog (hosted in the EU). For example: the game opened, a counter was started or cleared and in how many moves, a renovation was bought, or the shop was opened. Each event carries the game version, the platform (iPhone, Android, Jest or web) and a random ID that is separate from the one above. There is no session recording, no screen capture and no profile of you as a person.
Technical data
Like any internet request, our server and our service providers see your device's IP address when the game connects. We don't use it to identify you or build a profile.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers that run the game, and only for that purpose:
- Apple and Google: app distribution and payments.
- Jest: the Jest version of the game and its payments.
- RevenueCat: confirming in-app purchases.
- PostHog (EU): anonymous gameplay statistics.
- Render and Cloudflare: hosting our game server and its backups.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your game server record while you play, so your purchases stay safe. Purchase records may be kept longer when the law requires it for accounting. Anonymous gameplay statistics are kept only as long as they help us improve the game.
Your choices and deleting your data
You can stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the game. To have your data deleted, or to ask what we hold, email contact@nurtstudios.com. Tell us which platform you play on. We'll reply within 30 days. Deleting your data also removes your stamps and the items you own on our server, and this can't be undone.
If you live in the EU or UK you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Pocket Café is a general-audience game. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
